Description: An computer game that teaches mathematics whilst being fun and rewarding Entertaining education Todays technology has created new possibilities for educational products that are both efficient and entertaining. Mathematics Saving Greendale use all those new possibilitie. The interactive content of the computer game teaches the student to really see how mathematic skills can help to solve daily problems and how it helps to play along in the game. The software program is built on the classic platform genre which is familiar to students of today and is easy to understand. Just like a computer game The program is designed as a computer game in which the main character, (Gorm or Gyda) played by the student, must help the bewitched people of Greendale to regain their mathematic skills so they can solve their day by day problems. Points are awarded for both mathematic and computer gaming skills. This makes it more rewarding and fun to use and learn mathematics. The software can provide statistics of student progress. The computer game has three difficulty levels so that all students can benefit and learn something from the game. The student can find his or hers own level and at the same time be inspired to learn more and increase the difficulty to get more points. Practice Probably the most important feature of the program is the ability to train on a desired subject. A number of problems are included in the program, each with three difficulty levels. The theory behind the problem and a way to solve the problem is only a keystroke away. As the student learns a subject he or she can move on the next subject. Advanced tools The software contains simulations of a calculator, sketch pad, graphs and adds the ability to construct objects on screen using tools such as pencil, ruler, rubber and more. All this helps in enabling the student to solve problems by using the computer. All problems can also be solved using paper and pen. | Short tags: Mathematics, Junior, High School, edutainment game, game, education | System Requirements: Pentium II 400Mhz 128 MB RAM DirectX7 | Find last version of Mathematics Saving Greendale | |

- CellFighter Game 2.04. New Life for Game of Life Almost 40 years ago, when computers were large working machines and the phrase «computer game» sounded absurdly, a famous British mathematician invented the so-called «Game of Life», which by no means was a game, it was rather an example of a cellular automata clear for even a child. You certainly have seen those black-and-white cells (and possibly even have written
- Double Solitaire, Another Dimension of the Old Game The computerization of good old board games (like cards) sometimes brings awesome results. I am talking about cases where the author of a «virtual equivalent of a real game» can find and embody some new features, because of which the game remains almost the same, but its playability receives a completely new dimension. The good example is Double Solitaire, which harmonically
