If you’ve bought the Windows XP Home operating system and eventually began to feel that its capabilities were not enough — it is not necessarily a sign that you need to buy a more advanced edition of the OS. Some features, known to be very «advanced», can be easily obtained with small and efficient additional software.
Here as a good example of this point. If you have several users going to use the same computer. You want to manage those users’ rights and privileges, but the computer runs under Windows XP Home. What can you do? The right answer is: install the Local Account Manager software from UNGSoft Developers Group.
With this software, you can create, delete and alter any users’ information.
The examples of use include: changing user’s password, or forcing user to change password after next logon, or, to the contrary, forbid changing password by user.
You can also change users’ group settings (add users to groups or remove users from groups and disallow adding users, and so on.) Also, users can be renamed or temporary disabled. All the above can be done through a couple of dialogs integrated into Windows as the «native» part of the OS’s user interface.
