Last week I found a genius solution for watching and controlling my computers health and stability, which I would like to tell you about.
Todays hero is a small, resource-friendly, easy-to-use utility, which allows you to track all available system parameters, such as the system temperature, voltages, and cooling fans. Hmonitor does this by utilizing the motherboards hardware sensors, which are normally not accessible by «mere mortals». The software supports almost all sensor-enabled motherboards, even laptops. It supports thousands of models.
After fast installation you will see the tray icon, which shows your computers state in real-time. Dont worry; Hmonitor uses a very small amount of memory. You can view the current parameter values simply by pointing to this icon (youll see a brief information tool-tip), or by clicking on it. Hmonitors main window will appear, displaying all values and history plots. Using the comprehensive settings dialog you can tell Hmonitor how to produce various logs, and how to recognize a situation when the critical parameter values are in the so-called «yellow» and «red» zones. For example, you can set Hmonitor to warn you when the processor is overheated. Hmonitor can launch a program on low fan RPM, or even («Pro» version only) do a «software cooling», which softwarewise (programmatically) decreases the load on an overheated processor. | | | Learn more about hardware sensors monitor… |
