TextGRAB SDK is a COM component, able to capture the text from virtually any window or its part. You shouldn’t think of it as an OCR, TextGRAB just uses Windows API abilities to obtain the text, so it is much more precise, reliable and fast than an OCR-based solution. With TextGRAB it is possible to capture not only an entire window text, but also any part of the window, a custom rectangle or even interactive capture by user’s selection. Advanced capturing features include capturing password texts under asterisks and full Unicode support.
