MiniCapture is an excellent application that allows you to record everything you see on your display to WMV files. Apparently, you can capture separate frames into BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG and TIF files. All video recordings can be supplied with an audio track with your comments or background music. You can pause and resume the recording process any time by pressing a hotkey combination on the keyboard.
